Royalty in The True Sense

Have you guys ever stayed in the Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace in Udaipur? I must say it is worth staying in this palace hotel. There are few palace hotels in Udaipur that are set amid the old palaces after refurbishment and hence the name.

I didn’t get any prior booking done for my stay in Udaipur as I was damn sure that I could easily get an accommodation in one of the Udaipur 5 star hotels. After I reached the city, I hired a taxi and asked the courteous driver to take me in one of the best luxury hotels in Udaipur. It was then he said that I should stay in one of the palace hotels in Udaipur and that was how I landed up in the Lalit. To my luck, I got an accommodation.

The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace is set in a scenic backdrop; it overlooks the Fateh Sagar lake, the only palace to be situated near the man made lake. The hotel is an example of royalty in the true sense of the term, the grandeur being exhibited in everything whether it is the exteriors or interiors. And the grand architecture just reveals the culture and magnificence of its time.
